Tracy DiSabato-Aust

Tracy DiSabato-Aust has earned international acclaim as one of America's most entertaining and knowledgeable garden writers and professional speakers. She has extensive experience in the United States and abroad with more than 35 years in the industry and is a gifted and award-winning designer who combines artistic vision with practical horticultural strategies.

Her experience includes lectures and classes at Longwood Gardens in the United States, The Montreal Botanical Garden in Canada, The Kalmthout Arboretum in Belgium, and Knightshayes Court in England. She holds her M.S. in horticulture from Ohio State University.

She is the author of several books including her bestselling classic The Well-Tended Perennial Garden, referred to by many as "the bible for perennial maintenance." The Well-Designed Mixed Garden brings her trademark exuberance, expertise, and efficiency to garden design and demystifies daunting elements with her direct approach. And Tracy's latest book, 50 High-Impact, Low-Care Garden Plants: Tough-but-Beautiful Plants Anyone Can Grow, features easy-care, dynamic selections for our busy lives.

A vibrant speaker, Tracy is in high demand on the lecture circuit. Tracy has been a frequent guest on national garden television and radio gardening shows, such as Way to Grow and Martha Stewart Sirius Radio. She has contributed articles or been featured in national and international magazines, books, and newspapers, including Fine Gardening, Horticulture, Garden Design, Gardens Illustrated, The New York Times, The Daily Telegraph, and The National Post.

When Tracy is not busy with horticulture adventures she is training and racing as a four-time All-American triathlete for Team USA and is a national and world champion in her age group.
