The Complete Flower Paintings of Graham Stuart Thomas

By Graham Stuart Thomas

After a lifetime of introducing, illustrating, and writing about plants, Thomas has gathered his most beautiful botanical paintings and drawings in this sumptuous volume. Over 100 pencil and pen-and-ink drawings, most drawn life size, detail the flowers of such plants as Rosa gigantia and Trillium sessile. However, it is the 57 full color botanical paintings that are the centerpiece of the book. The majority of these paintings are accompanied by a short essay by the artist/author on the history and attributes of the plant.
