Claud L. Brown
Claud L. Brown is Alumni Foundation Professor of Forest Resources, Emeritus, at the University of Georgia. He is the author of over 125 scientific publications, including several monographs and portions of advanced texts in forest biology. He was co-author of the widely used text, Trees: Structure and Function, with Martin H. Zimmermann, late director of the Harvard Forest, Harvard University. Since 1980, Dr. Brown has been engaged in establishing the Thompson Mill Forest and Arboretum, a teaching and research facility of the School of Forest Resources, near Braselton, Georgia, now possessing over 100 species of exotic conifers and most of the native trees of Georgia.
