Phyllis C. Reynolds
Authors Phyllis C. Reynolds and Elizabeth F. Dimon, both natives of Portland, met in grade school at Miss Catlin's School for Girls (now Catlin Gabel School). They shared many interests including gardening, trees, Oregon history, and writing until Ms. Dimon's death in 1991. Ms. Dimon had been active in the Portland Garden Club and the Home Orchard Society, as well as serving on the board of the Oregon Historical Society. Phyllis Reynolds is a retired clinical psychologist and artist who has served on the boards of the Japanese Garden Society and the Berry Botanic Garden. In 1999, Phyllis Reynolds was awarded the Mayor's Spirit of Portland Award in recongition of her outstanding service to the community.
