Patrick von Aderkas

Patrick von Aderkas is a professor in the Biology Department at the University of Victoria, with degrees in botany from the University of Guelph and the University of Manchester. His career reflects a broad interest in experimental embryogenesis of ferns and gymnosperms, including hormone physiology, molecular biology, and proteomics (the large-scale study of proteins). His academic contributions include two books and 70 papers; his teaching centers around plant development and the social history of plants.
